The new, second-generation Audi A1 Sportback might be Audi’s smallest model, but the latest version of the premium hatchback comes with slick styling, more technology and brings big car standards to the small car lease marketplace.
As with current industry trends, the previous three-door body style has been discontinued, with the five-door hatch now called the Sportback. A glance at the new A1 Sportback and you’ll notice more purposeful and dynamic styling than before.
Three trim grades are available – SE, Sport and S-Line. Standard equipment on the range-entry SE includes LED headlights, alloy wheels, air conditioning and a digital dashboard. Safety is well catered for, too: Audi Pre-Sense is standard, including pedestrian and cyclist detection, hill-hold assist, a speed limiter and lane departure warning.
The A1 Sportback is a comfortable and spacious super-mini, able to seat four comfortably or five for shorter journeys. At 335 litres, the boot is a good size and is now 65 litres larger than the previous A1
On the road, the Audi A1 Sportback packs enough punch to get drivers up to motorway speeds quickly. The ride is slightly on the firm side, but this helps handling and agility when pressing on.
